Zip it!
So the other day, I turn around and there is Jack with his breakfast filled belly showing through the open zipper of his footie pajamas. I said “What are you doing?” and his response was to zip it back up. That’s new. When did he figure that out?
Needless to say he didn’t want to get dressed that day. He wanted to stay in his PJ’s with the zipper. That was fine though, we weren’t going anywhere. So all day long, there was gigolo Jack either showing a little chest or baring his whole torso.
Now I’ve heard stories from other parents about there child getting undressed in the middle of the night, so I wonder how long we have before that starts. Will we have to start buying pj’s without footies so we can put them on backwards where he can’t get to the zipper?
Upon relaying this story to Grandpa, Mommy found out she used to undress herself too. So finally, like Mommy, like son. I was hoping more for the art and creativity though. (Just kidding Mommy)
