About the site
I started my first site back before my son was born (literally finished it at the hospital) using MS Frontpage. That was a basic site I put on the little bit of webspace Earthlink gave us with the account.
Then I taught myself more about making websites after I started staying home (internet searches and playing during his naps). As I learn more and play more, the site will probably keep changing. The content should stay the same but the design will probably change.
About the Name
I picked the name for a couple of reasons:
- I am a big fan of Looney Tunes cartoons. I grew up on them and memorized many of them.
- After becoming a Stay-at-Home-Dad (SAHD) that’s what I’ve become (although many will say I already was one).
- It just plain fits!
Let me just say that Looney Toon Dad is in no way affiliated with Looney Tunes or Warner Brothers. I am using a different spelling (Toon vs Tune). I am not using any of their images on the site (unless my son is holding something in a picture that has LT on it). I am not trying represent myself as anything other than a SAHD who likes cartoons, and is headed to the looney bin.
Site Design
My site contains a couple of parts. Here they are:
- BLOG - I am using Wordpress, an open source blog system, with the “Kubrick” theme.
- PHOTOS - I am using Coppermine Photo Gallery, an open source photo gallery system, with the “Kubrick” theme
- MAIN SITE - It is based on the same Kubrick theme that I am using with my Photos.
If you want to see info about the Kubrick themes I am using or who made them, please view the site’s source and look at the CSS style sheet that is linked for each area.
